Out-of-hours service

In a non-emergency situation when the surgery is closed, please call 111. This will connect you to the NHS 111 service where your condition will be assessed and you will be directed to the local service best suited to your needs.

NHS 111 is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and is free to call from landline and mobile telephones. The service offers help and advice for minor injuries and illness when it’s not an emergency. For more information visit www.nhs.uk/111.

In case of a serious, life-threatening emergency such as chest pain or shortness of breath, call 999 for an ambulance.

Blackpool Walk-in Centre

There is a GP-led walk-in service at the Whitegate Health Centre on Whitegate Drive in Blackpool. This offers a same day service to see a doctor or nurse without an appointment. Opening times are 8.00am to 9.00pm on weekdays and Saturdays and 9.00am to 8.00pm on Sundays and Bank Holidays.

Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
